June 27, 2026 - GoFilCans partnered with the Sundre Museum to celebrate our cultural heritage and promote community collaboration. We were thrilled to take part in Multicultural Day, a vibrant celebration of the rich diversity within our community, emphasizing culture, friendship, and inclusivity. This event provided a wonderful platform for us to share our Filipino heritage while also learning about and appreciating the traditions of others. Together, we honor the beauty of our differences and the strength found in our unity.

June 13, 2026 - GoFilCans, along with various organizations, united to celebrate our rich heritage, honor our heroes, and embrace the pride of being Filipino. Let us continue to stand together in our shared values of unity, freedom, and hope. This event marked our first cluster gathering for the community, with the AFCLA (Pres. Jun Cacayuran), AFCMVC - Olds, CAFFTT - Trochu, PCCHS - Red Deer, PCNAI - Innisfail, and RMH - Rocky with the Olds Seniors Society.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Special Guest Speaker, Consul/Atty. Vida Soraya Verzosa-Wirch, and her team for joining us and providing such inspiring insights.

December 25, 2026 - The GOFILCANS Christmas Party united members, guests, and visitors for an afternoon filled with friendship, festive entertainment, delightful food, and holiday spirit. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us in celebrating this special occasion, making it truly unforgettable. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a joyful, prosperous New Year!

December 23, 2025 - GoFiLCanS, in collaboration with our Sundre Youth LIGHT, hosted a heartwarming Filipino Christmas celebration for seniors at Mountain View Lodge Seniors Housing in Sundre. The event featured the youth band performing live music and songs, spreading laughter and joy among the residents. The day was filled with gifts, delicious lumpia,pancit and puto with the delightful entertainment, making it a truly memorable occasion for everyone involved.

October 18, 2025- Sundre LIGHT officers oath taking ceremony and GoFilCans team building seminar. It was a day full of acquired new knowledge, skills, and experiences. Congratulations Sundre LIGHT officers on taking this important step! Your oath is more than words — it’s a promise to lead with integrity, serve with compassion, and inspire others through your actions. The future is brighter because of young leaders like you.

September 27-28, 2025- GoFilCanS collaborates to sundre Museum and district in celebrating Alberta Culture Days . We are grateful for having this opportunity to share Filipino culture to the Sundre community.

September 13 & 14, 2025- GOFILCans hosted basketball league. Four teams had competed for the title. It was indeed a two day full of action, fun and excitement. Congratulations to Champion Lowkey Team! Hats off to the players who joined the league.

September 7, 2025- GOFILCans joined the Be the Change: Fun run for Mental Health Challenge. It was a day full of fun, laughter and a big achievement for everyone especially who won the race.

July 5, 2025 - GOFILCans attended the Filipino Heritage Festival in Lethbridge, AB led by the Filipino-Canadian Association of Lethbridge, Alberta (FCALA) . It was fun to comemorate the rich Filipino culture and festivities plus an enticing and delicious Filipino delicacies!
